Flute Masterclass: Getting Back in Shape After Summer Break (HS)

This masterclass is a dedicated space to revisit the flute fundamentals that sometimes get lost in practice over the summer. Topics will cover setting up a healthy practice schedule and what to focus on, major & minor scales and arpeggios, tone quality & vibrato, double- and triple- tonguing, and more. This session is best suited for high school students that are comfortable playing two- and three-octave major scales and rhythms in simple (e.g., 4/4) and compound meters (e.g., 6/8). Meals will be provided before the session from 2:30pm-3:15pm. Must be a Katy ISD student to attend.
